Use this guide to ensure that all your programs—Rewards, Deals, Reviews, and Widgets—in The Vital App are configured correctly for a seamless customer experience. Follow these steps to verify each program’s setup.


1. Rewards Program Setup

Make sure your Rewards Program is active and working as intended:

  1. Access the Vital Dashboard:
    • Log in through your Shopify store and open The Vital App.
  2. Check Rewards Activation:
    • Navigate to the Rewards section from the sidebar.
    • Confirm that earning and redemption rules are configured.
  3. Test Earning Points:
    • Place a sample order and verify points are correctly awarded.
  4. Verify Redemption Rules:
    • Ensure rewards (like fixed discounts or percentage off) are available with minimum purchase rules in place.
  5. Enable Reward Widget:
    • Go to Shopify Admin > Online Store > Themes > Customize.
    • In App Embeds, enable Reward Widget – The Vital.
  6. Widget Placement:
    • Adjust the widget’s placement from Branding > Placements to avoid interference with other elements on your store.

2. Deals Program Setup

Ensure deals are visible and configured properly:

  1. Navigate to the Deals Section:
    • Open Deals from the sidebar in The Vital Dashboard.
  2. Check for Active Deals:
    • Verify that both Deals for All Customers and Deals for Specific Customers are live.
  3. Ensure Visibility:
    • Confirm that the Deals Page is accessible and properly displayed on your storefront.

3. Reviews Program Setup

Verify that your reviews feature is ready to collect and display reviews:

  1. Enable Review Widget:
    • Go to Shopify Admin > Online Store > Themes > Customize.
    • In App Embeds, enable Review Widget – The Vital.
  2. Configure Review Requests:
    • Check the Collect Review section and set up automated requests and reminders.
  3. Send Test Review Request Emails:
    • Use the Send Mail button to ensure review emails are working.
  4. Check Reviews Display:
    • Visit product pages to confirm reviews are visible and functional.

4. Widgets Setup Verification

Confirm that all widgets are active and placed correctly:

  • Reward Widget:

    • Verify it is live on the homepage and customers can redeem rewards.
  • Customer Dashboard Widget:

    • Log into a customer account and ensure the dashboard widget is accessible.
    • Check that customers can view orders, rewards, and deals from the dashboard.
  • Review Widget:

    • Confirm reviews appear properly on product pages and that customers can submit new reviews.

5. Testing & Troubleshooting

  1. Order Sync:
    • Ensure that all products are synced with Vital to avoid mapping issues for reviews and deals.
  2. Widget Placement:
    • Make sure widgets are not overlapping or blocking other site elements. Adjust placements under Branding > Placements.
  3. Check for Caching Delays:
    • Allow 15 minutes for any new settings to reflect on your store.

6. Analytics & Monitoring

  1. Track Review Performance:
    • Monitor reviews under the Manage Reviews section and respond as necessary.
